Pasta manufacturing and sale business "Klara M" was established back in 1987 in Kanfanar, a picturesque little town in Istria.
Seeing that we are lovers of tradition and good food, we realised that the Croatian market lacks pasta manufactured in a traditional, artisanal manner which requires a lot of hand work and plenty of love and care. We wanted other people to enjoy the pasta made in this way, so we embarked upon the pasta manufacturing adventure.
Ours is the first business that uses a particular type of manufacturing method. In fact, we specialise in lasagne–tagliatelle folded and intertwined in skeins (“matasse”), the Istrian fuži, the pasutice, the pljukanci and other traditional varieties of pasta.
In addition to traditional pasta, we also manufacture classic types of pasta, pasta with dried vegetable additions, frozen and fresh pasta.
What makes our pasta special is the fact that we make it closest to homemade, i.e. we use the roller.
In fact, our pasta is not “pressed” through moulds because the squeezing has a negative effect on the quality of pasta dough.
